About the Role:
ESK Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team and support our client, Salesforce, in Hyderabad. This role demands strong expertise in accounting principles, with a specific focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.
Ensure compliance with ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition.
Assist in preparing financial reports, variance analysis, and support audit requirements.
Work closely with internal and client-side teams to ensure accounting processes align with policies.
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive implementation.
Required Skills:
Minimum 7 years of accounting experience.
Hands-on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter or CPA preferred).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and control, with a particular focus on leveraging and optimizing our banking-related financial systems. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and the unique operational aspects of financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee and manage all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS, US GAAP, as applicable).
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal utilization of funds.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
Banking Systems & Operations Specialization:
Serve as the primary finance liaison for all banking system integrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Ensure accurate and efficient flow of financial data between core banking systems, general ledger, and other financial applications.
Deep dive into transactional data within banking systems to reconcile discrepancies, investigate anomalies, and improve data integrity.
Collaborate with IT, operations, and product teams to optimize banking system functionalities for financial reporting and control purposes.
Identify and implement automation opportunities within financial processes related to banking transactions.
Develop and maintain robust financial controls specific to banking operations to mitigate risks.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations, including those specific to banking and financial institutions (e.g., RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, AML/KYC norms, FEMA).
Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, implementing necessary adjustments to financial processes and systems.
Prepare and submit all required regulatory reports accurately and on time.
Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure internal control effectiveness.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals.
Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and IT.
