The candidate should ensure all electrical systems function efficiently, comply with safety standards, and support uninterrupted plant operations. --- ### **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Maintenance and Repairs** * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, panels, switchgear, DBs, and industrial lighting. * Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical circuits, wiring systems, MCC, PCC, VFD panels, and LT/HT equipment. * Carry out maintenance of PLC & DCS field wiring (if trained). * Replace damaged or malfunctioning electrical components such as fuses, relays, contactors, and switches. 2. **Installation** * Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical systems, equipment, and components. * Support cable laying, glanding, and termination works as per electrical drawings. * Properly install earthing systems and lightning protection devices. 3. **Safety & Compliance** * Ensure all work complies with standard electrical codes, safety rules, and Vedanta site policies. * Use PPE and safety tools during maintenance and operational activities. * Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, or near misses. 4. **Documentation & Reporting** * Maintain daily maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spares consumption records. * Provide regular updates to the Site Incharge/Electrical Engineer on job completion, pending issues, or required materials. 5. **Coordination & Support** * Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams during shutdowns or cross-functional activities. * Support plant operations during power failures or electrical emergencies. --- ### **Required Qualifications & Experience:** * **Qualification:** * ITI in Electrician Trade (NCVT/SCVT Certified) is mandatory. * Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred for higher-level responsibilities). * **Experience:** * Minimum 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in power plants, refineries, metal, or mining sectors. * Experience in Vedanta or other large industrial plants will be an added advantage. * **Technical Skills:** * Good knowledge of LT/HT panels, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and industrial electrical systems. * Familiarity with wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), and troubleshooting methods. * Ability to use electrical tools like megger, multimeter, tong tester, etc.
