Overview

Sultanpur, situated in the northern parts of Bangalore is a developing locality. It is situated at a distance of 53 kms from Hyderabad City. This locality comes under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. Wadakpally, Dayara, Patelguda, Krishna Reddy Pet, Raghavendra Colony, Ilapur, Mallampet, Bachupally, Nizampet, Miyapur, Patancheru, and Muthangi are its neighbouring localities. Nehru Outer Ring is the major road which connect Sultanpur to the other parts of the city via road transport services. One can also take local train to reach to nearby localities. Sultanpur is the only arterial road which is passing through the centre of the locality and further it connects with NH 4. NH 65 is also running very close to Sultanpur following the NH 4 route.

Connectivity

It has excellent connectivity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport which is located at a distance of 57 kms via Nehru Outer Ring Road.

Lingampally, Chandannagar, Hafeezpet, and Hi-Tech City are its nearby railway stations. However, Lingampally is the nearest and major railway station to Sultanpur which is located at a distance of 11 kms via Krishna Reddy Pet Road.

Operational Phase-1 of Hyderabad Metro Line-1 (Red Line) is passing through the locality. Miyapur, JNTU, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Balanagar, Moosapet, Bharat Nagar, Erragadda, ESI, and S.R. Nagar are stations of this route.

Factors for growth

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) has commissioned three service reservoirs to meet the water demand of this belt. The reservoirs have been constructed at Hyder Nagar, HUDA Park and Hafeezpet. It will reduce the water water scarcity of that regions.
 

Proposed and Planned Infrastructure

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) has been allocated 50 acres land on the outskirts of Hyderabad to develop an exclusive Women’s Industrial Park.

LuLu Group International, with investments in retail, hospitality and food processing sectors, has decided to set up its facility in the State for developing retail and food processing industry. It has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State government in this direction.

Proposed Medical Devices Park, the biggest in India, and spread on 250 acres should have a comprehensive eco-system as suggested by the industrialists with facilities for innovating, prototyping, lab testing and manufacturing.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) has decided to commission three service reservoirs to meet the water demand of this belt. The reservoirs that are likely to be commissioned have been constructed at Hyder Nagar, HUDA Park and Hafeezpet. Nearly 40000 households are expected to receive water supply from this reservoir.

Sultanpur possesses best-in-class infrastructural facilities encompassing: It has many reputed schools and educational institutions in its vicinity.
