Rahatani, Pune

Overview
Rahatani, located in the north of Pune. It is a cultural suburb of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation situated on the banks of the Pavana river. It is 2.5 km from Pimpri and 5 km from Chinchwad. It is 8.8 km from Hinjewadi and centered in between the suburbs of Pimple Saudagar and Kalewadi. There are several temples in the area. Hinjewadi, Pimple Saudagar, Nasik Phata Road, Shastri Nagar, Kaveri Nagar, Jyotiba Nagar and Phata are other localities surrounding Rahatani. It falls under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area of Pune. Pimpri is the nearest railway station to Rahatani. All local trains between Pune Junction railway station and Lonavala railway station stop at Kasarwadi and Pimpri railway stations. The region was a rural area till the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park came up in the neighboring Hinjewadi area. he civic amenities have also improved here. The industrial and IT sectors’ growth, has led to the development of the retail and hospitality sectors, as well.
 

Connectivity
Rahatani is well connected by road to the rest of the city by public transportation. Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) operates the public transport system in this area. The main roads connect to the Rahatani are Hedgewar Path, Rahatani Road, Kalewadi Road, Park Royal Road and Jyotiba Road.

The area has an extensive bus service and the Pune-Chinchwad Bus Stand and Bhosari Bus Depot lie in close vicinity.

It enjoys excellent connectivity to Pune International Airport which is located at a distance of 20.8 km via Mumbai - Pandharpur Road/Old Mumbai Road/Old Mumbai-Pune Highway.

Pune Junction, Pimpri Railway Station, Chinchwad Railway Station and Akurdi Railway to the station are the major railway station near to this locality. However, Pimpri is the nearest railway station to Rahatani which is located at a distance of 4.8 km. All local trains between Pune Junction railway station and Lonavala railway station stop at Kasarwadi and Pimpri railway stations.

Its proximity to the Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park located at Hinjewadi makes it a residential hub for people working in the Information Technology industry.
