• This 438km long stretch runs from Delhi to Lucknow, passing through several cities such as Sitapur, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, and Shahjahanpur. Further, the hotspots of Delhi and Noida are only a short drive away, thanks to the highway. As of now, the nearest metro station is at Vaishali, which is situated at a distance of about 12km.
• Moreover, Ghaziabad Railway Station is only about 3km away from NH-24. Commuters can also use this station for daily travel to and from Ghaziabad to other areas in the NCR region using the local electric trains.

Factors for Growth

Areas along NH-24 are gradually transforming into prized real estate destinations that promises to emulate the success stories of other regions in Ghaziabad.

• The liveability quotient of the area will further enhance with the plans to extend the Delhi Metro.
• That’s not all! The highways ministry has planned a 14-lane Delhi-Meerut Expressway via NH-24-the ministry has already given the go ahead for widening NH-24. According to the proposed plan, the highway will be turned into 14 lanes till UP Gate at Ghaziabad and will include an eight-lane highway and six-lane expressway.
• Apart from this, the proposed underpass from Ghaziabad and a link road between Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will also ease the peak hour traffic on NH-24. With such excellent connectivity, it is only natural that residential as well as commercial properties are mushrooming here.

Infrastructure Developments - Social & Physical

The skyline of these areas are predominantly dotted by integrated townships, thus offering an array of housing options at competitive prices. Additionally, the availability of schools, ATMs, hospitals, and banks in and around the area have all contributed to the steady appreciation of real estate prices in the region.

Major Challenges

• Being one of the major highways in the country, the major sore point of the area is excessive traffic.
• At present, lack of public transport is also a major hurdle, making owning your own vehicle a must.  
• Inefficient garbage dumping has also been an issue for some residents. There have also been a few incidents of petty crime, like carjacking, in the area.
