Overview

Mahape, situated at the north of Navi Mumbai is an emerging real estate destination. It is a suburb of Navi Mumbai and located close to Ghansoli. It comes under Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (Govt Body). The NMMC has completed its first-ever waste-to-energy plant in the city. The civic body is also working on another project wherein construction and demolition work waste will be processed to make tiles. The 15 km long Thane-Belapur Road, which connects Thane and Navi Mumbai is playing an important role in the cities’ business and economies. The road begins at the Sion-Panvel highway near Turbhe and ends at Kalwa near Thane. Because of the congested Thane-Belapur Road, the two flyovers and underpass has been constructed on the stretch for hassle-free commuting. After the flyovers are opened, one can experience a smooth drive. It has close proximity to important localities of Navi Mumbai such as Ghansoli, Koparkhairane, Vashi, Turbhe, Airoli, Mumbra, Kausa, Shilphata, Thane East, Naupada, etc. Mahape is adjacent to NH48. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has its office there.

 

Connectivity

The only arterial road passing through the locality is Shilphata-Mahape Road which further link it with NH48 and SH76.

It has excellent connectivity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which is located at a distance of 26.5 km via Jogeshwari - Vikhroli Link Road.

Airoli, Rabale, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane, and Turbhe are its nearby railway station. However, Ghansoli is the nearest railway station which is located at a distance of 5km via Shilphata - Mahape Road.

 

Factors for growth in the future

The MIDC has began concretization work of the 22-km internal roads, footpaths, streetlights, utility services lines, storm water drains, collection pipe etc along the Trans-Thane Creek corridor in Rabale, Mahape and Turbhe Area after delay of several years.

Upcoming navi Mumbai International Airport will be an added advantage for the locality. It will create the rental demand in the nearby localities.

Factors for growth in the past

Its close proximity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport along with IT Hubs of Vashi and Airoli have been a plus point for Mahape, driving residential and development in the locality as well job opportunities.

 

Infra Development (Social & Civic)

The locality has a good number of educational institutions like international schools, schools affiliated to all the different boards and colleges. Some of the schools present here are NMMC School, Jijamata Convent School, North Point School, Reliance Foundation School, OES International School, Orchids The International School, Avalon Heights International Schools, St. Mary’s ICSE School among few.

The locality has a good retail market with malls, shopping plazas, shopping complexes, retail outlets, stationery shops, and grocery outlets. The shopping malls in the locality include Inorbit Mall Vashi, Raghuleela Mall, Seawoods Grand Central Mall, R City Mall, Ashraya Mall, Mall Street, Xperia Mall etc.

Healthcare facility is also good. The locality has super specialty, multi-specialty and general hospitals. Divine Mall, Sai Snehdeep Hospital, Mathadi Hospital Trust, Tej Vedant Hospital, Mahavir Hospital, Fortis Hiranandani Hospital Vashi to name a few.
