It has excellent connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport which is located at a distance of 36 km via NH 75.

Krishnarajapuram, Baiyappanahalli, Banaswadi, and Bangalore East are its nearby railway stations. However, Bangalore East Railway Station is the nearest and major railway station to KR Puram located at a distance of 11.5 km via NH 75.

Operational Namma Metro Rail Phase-1 with one of its route (Purple Line) is passing very close to the locality. Baiyappanahalli, Swami Vivekanand Road, Indiranagar, Halasuru, and Trinity are its stations while Baiyappanahalli is its nearest metro station.

KR Puram is located at the junction of the Old Madras Road and the Outer Ring Road, on NH-75.
