Overview
Dehu is a suburb situated in the north of Pune. This locality is considered as a holy place and comes under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Holy Indrayani river flows through the Dehu which later flows through Alandi too. Dehu is a place of Sant Tukaram - well known sant in Maharashtra. Dehu Road Railway Station is an important[by whom?] suburban railway station of Pune Suburban Railway. It is on the Mumbai - Pune Railway route. Other prominent areas situated close to it are Talwade, Moshi, Alandi, Charholi, Dehu Road, Chakan, Vadgaon among others. It is 12.8 km away from Pimpri-Chinchwad while 28.3 km from Pune via Mumbai-Pandharpur Road and Old-Mumbai-Pune Highway. Dehu-Chinchwad Road, Dehu-Yelwadi Road and Dehu-Moshi Roads are the major roads which passes through the locality and connects it with Old-Mumbai Road and NH 48. It lies 14 km north-east of Pimpri-Chinchwad Industrial City. Some of the premium residential projects in Dehu are Mayur Tathastu Paradise, Aaradhya Apartment, Mercury Gulmohar Park, Shiromani Heights, Kshitej Anandban, Midas Regency among others.

Connectivity
The area enjoys excellent connectivity and is well linked to other parts of the city through a strong network of roads. Dehu- Chincholi Road is the major road which further links the Dehu with Old Mumbai Road (NH 48).

It enjoys excellent connectivity to Pune International Airport which is about 35.2 km via Chinchwad-Akurdi Link Road.

Dehu Road, Begdewadi, Akurdi, Talegaon, Ghorawadi are its nearby railway stations. However, Dehu Road railway station is the nearest railway station to Dehu Road which is situated at a distance of 3.8 km via Dehu-Chincholi Road.

A number of PMPML buses ease the lives of commuters by providing them better avenues for transportation. Major bus stops in the locality are Sangurli Phata, Malwadi Dehu, Malinagar, Dehugaon etc.

Factors for past growth
Its proximity to Pune International Airport along with major IT Hubs such as Talawade MIDC IT Park, Pune Software Park Pvt Ltd, MIDC Software Technology Park, Fujitsu Consulting India etc. have been a plus point for Dehu. A fair number of workforce work in nearby IT Hubs, wanted to have their residences close to their workplace. As a result, properties for sale in Dehu has attracted many homebuyers.
