The area incorporates two main stages, BTM 1st Stage and BTM 2nd Stage. The 1st Stage is separated from the 2nd Stage by the Outer Ring Road. BTM Layout is, in fact, the brainchild of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). Its precise layout, along with excellent urban infrastructure has served as a catalyst to its growth.

Being developed as an extension to pre-established areas like Jayanagar, BTM Layout’s proximity to the Central Business District (CBD) has been a major contributor to real estate and infrastructure growth in the locality.

The recently sanctioned Phase 2 of the Metro Project is expected to be on tracks by 2015. This phase will have two new lines, RV Road to Bommasandra and Gottigere-IIM-B to Nagavara.
