Diva Junction, kalwa, Thane and Mulund are its nearby railway stations. However, Thane junction is the major and nearest railway station to Balkum which is located at a driving distance of 4.8 km via Saket Kalwa Road.

Mumbai Metro Line 1, Versova Andheri Ghatkopar Corridor is passing through the localities which include the stations such as Airport Road, Marol Naka Jagruti Nagar, Sakinaka, Asalpha, and Ghatkopar.

It is connected with neighbouring suburbs through Central and Trans-Harbour Line Suburban railway network.
