Overview
Pimple Nilakh, situated in the western parts of Pune city. It comes under the jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. It is a fast-growing residential hub and commercial hub, located close to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and is well-connected to the IT Parks of Aundh and Baner. Other prominent localities situated close to it are Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Gurav, Balewadi, Dasar, Baner, Aundh, Bopodi, Kasarwadi, Khadki, Mahalunge etc. Due to the presence of Hinjewadi IT hub, Pimple Nilakh has experienced a sharp increase in property rates on account of the dominant IT Culture in the western region. It is an important employment destination, owing to its proximity to some important companies which include Infosys, Microsoft, Finolex Industries Ltd, Tata Motors, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and Force Motors. This locality is surrounded by Wakad-Bhosari BRTS Road and Aundh-Ravet BRTS Road which has its further access to NH48.

It has close proximity to Pune International Airport which is located at a distance of 24 km via Lohegaon Road.

Pimple Nilakh is connected to other towns and cities with the help of  Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses. Other modes of transport are auto rickshaw, six-seaters, private buses, and vehicles.

Dapodi, Chinchwad, Khadki, Shivajinagar, and Pune Junction are its nearby railway stations. However, Pune Junction is the major railway station to Pimple Nilakh which is located at a distance of 13.5 km via Aundh Road.
