Vadgaon Budruk is a rapidly growing locality in the South of Pune. It is situated along the famous belt of Sinhagad Road that connects Swargate with Anand Nagar, Manik Baug, Vadgaon Phata, Dhayari Phata and Nanded City. It is located about 8 kms from center of Pune. Anand Nagar, Padmavati Nagar, Dhankawadi, Khedekar Nagar, Nanded, Dhayari, Shivane, Warje , Kothrud and Sadashiv Peth are its neighboring localities. It comes under Pune Municipal Limit. This city is on the route of the famous Khadakwasla Dam and the National Defence Academy, one of the India’s leading military training institutes. It is considered as a communication point between Sinhagad Fort and Pune City. But now-a-days, it is well known place in the IT Industry as many IT & BPO employees reside in the area. Japanese themed park has emerged as one of the major attractions of this locale that attracts a number of visitors from nearby places.
