Overview

Ulwe is one of the fastest growing nodes of Navi Mumbai. The suburb in Raigad district, is located south of Kharghar and close to Panvel, where the Navi Mumbai International Airport is planned. This node has been planned and developed by CIDCO and is fast becoming a preferred destination for many. It is well connected to most of the localities in Navi Mumbai by Road. The Uran Road and JNPT Road pass through Ulwe connecting it to localities such as Greater Khanda, Kharghar, CBD Belapur and Panvel. The Vashi Railway Station is the nearest railway station. The nearest airport is Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Seawoods, Kamothe, New Panvel East, Panvel, Kharghar, Navade, Kalamboli etc are its neighboring localities. It is soon going to be a major successful planned place to live after Vashi.The metro project of Navi Mumbai connects Ulwe prominently.  he Navi Mumbai international airport is nearby to Ulwe. A sea link from Sewri to Nhava Sheva is proposed.

Connectivity

Uran Road, Uran-Panvel Road, JNPT Road, Dapoli Targarh Road are the major roads passing through the locality which further connect it to the Mumbai Highway.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport located at a driving distance of 39.5 km from Ulwe via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway/Sion-Panvel Expressway.

Seawoods-Darave, Belapur C.B.D., Nerul, Kharghar, mansarovar and Khandeshwar are its nearby railway station. However, Belapur C.B.D is the nearest railway station, located at a distance of 7.5 km via NH348A.

Factors for future growth

A sea link from Sewri to Nhava Sheva is proposed.

The proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport is very closed to Ulwe.

Its proximity to International airport and proposed Navi Mumbai Airport along with some prominent IT Parks such as I.T. Park, Global IT Park India Pvt Ltd. have been a plus point for Ulwe, driving residential demand and consistent rental yield.

Infrastructure projects like the Navi Mumbai Airport, Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL), Seawoods-Ulwe link from Palm Beach Road and SEZs, are expected to provide a fillip to the region.

Ulwe will also see a major upward trend in property rates because of its accessibility to the national highway and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

It has good healthcare facilities, with the presence of multi-specialty and general hospitals, a number of clinics and pharmacies. Some of them are Panvel Hospital, Nikam Parmar Hospital, Paramount Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, LifelIne Hospital, Panvel to name a few.

Kharghar has many shopping malls, retail outlets, utility shops, departmental stores and supermarkets.
