Sitapur Road, Lucknow

Overview

Sitapur Road, located in the northern parts of Lucknow is a developing area. It is situated in the north of Lucknow while north-eastern parts of Kanpur. Lucknow is situated at a distance of 45 km while Kanpur is just 140 km away. Mujjafarpur, Almapur, Kirtapur, Manikpur, Gandhauli, Sarsauli, and Akohra are its neighbouring localities. NH 30 and NH 230 are in its vicinity which is also known as Lucknow-Sitapur Road. All the daily basic necessities are available in few km. Sitapur Road is a part of NH 24 and one of the major roadways that runs through Lucknow.

Connectivity

It has excellent connectivity to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport which is located at a distance of 60 km via NH 230 and NH 30.

Munda Gopal Ash, Mahmudabad Avadh, Babupur, Sarayan, Shankarpur, Biswan are its nearby railway stations. However, Mahmudpur Avadh is the nearest and major railway station to Sitapur Road which is located at a distance of 45 km via Baddupur - Mohabbatpur Road and NH 30.

Transport facilities are also good via roadways as NH 30 is passing through the localities and connect to the other parts of the city.

Proposed and planned infrastructure

One of the largest & newly-constructed campus of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) earlier know as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

Proposed Outer Ring Road, once complete will help the city’s traffic as heavy vehicles will pass through Lucknow via Ring Road without entering the main city.

Construction of NH 24 extension 4-lane bypass starting from Behta Road and terminating at Sitapur Road in Uttar Pradesh under NHDP phase VII - package 2 is under construction.

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) is planning to extend metro services to satellite towns of Lucknow like Barabanki, Unnao, Raebareli and Sitapur.

Proposed 15-km-long Sitapur-Kursi Road stretch is under construction.
