Overview

Ramamurthy Nagar is an area situated in the north-eastern part of Bangalore. This locality comes under BBMP. Earlier, it was completely a farmland but IT boom in the 1990’s has seen tremendous growth here. It is a fast developing suburb located close to other areas such as Krishnarajapuram, C V Raman Nagar, Babusapalya, Anandpura, Pai Layout, KR Puram, Kasturi Nagar, Banaswadi, and Kalyan Nagar. The locality is close to Outer Ring Road. The area is divided into numerous layouts and the prominent ones include Chandravadana Layout, Krishna Reddy Layout, Dayananda Layout, Subramani Layout, Papamma layout, Pragathi Layout, Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Garden City and many others. It is excellent connectivity to the other parts of the Bangalore City due to its proximity to the Outer Ring Road and Old madras Road. The locality also has a number of lakes such as Jayanthi Nagar Lake, Varanasi Lake, and Kithaganur Lake among few. It is located 12 km from Bangalore City, 17.5 km from Majestic, 4 km from KR Puram, 8.6 km from MG Road, and 7.8 km from Manyata Tech Park. Krishnarajapuram and Channasandra railway stations are two nearby railway stations to Ramamurthy Nagar.

Connectivity

The locality has excellent connectivity to the other important areas like Outer Ring Road (ORR), Banaswadi Road and Market Road.

A number of BMTC and private buses runs through the Ramamurthy Nagar and connects it to the nearby areas. Auto Rickshaw and Cabs ply along TC palya Main Road and RM Nagar main Road.

Kempegowda International Airport is located at a distance of 31 km via New Airport Road can be accessed less than an hour.

Channasandra, Krishnarajapuram, Baiyappanahalli, Banaswadi, Bangalore East are its nearby railway stations. However, Krishnarajapuram is the major and nearest railway station to Ramamurthy Nagar located at a distance of 3 km via Kalkere Main Road and Ramamurthy Nagar Main Road. Other major railway station is Bangalore East Railway Station which is located at a distance of 9.2 km via NH 44/NH 75.
