Overview :
Prabhat Road, located in the centre of the city is a booming neighborhood in Pune. This road is named after the legendary Prabhat Studios, which in fact made movies and films in the '20s and '30s right up to the '60s. It comes under Pune Municipal Corporation Limit. The road ends at the Film and Television Institute Of India which is formerly Prabhat Film Studio. But now this locality is has taken the shape of higher middle class society. It is among the poshest areas of Pune. All the road crossing this road are known as Prabhat Road Gali No-1/2/3//4/5 and so on. Kamla Nehru Park lies at the Northern end of this Road. It is cent percent residential locality road though a few commercial establishment have started coming up. Hanuman Nagar, Kelewadi, Navi Peth, Khilarewadi, Joshi Wada, Deccan Gymkhana and Ganeshwadi are its neighboring localities.

Prabhat Road is surrounded by BMCC Road, Law College Road, Maharshi Karve Road, Fergusson College Road which further has access to State Highway-114.

It enjoys excellent connectivity to Pune International Airport which is located at a driving distance of 19.4 kms via Lohegaon Road.

Shivajinagar, Khadki and Pune Junction are the nearby railway stations. However, Shivajinagar and Pune Junction is the nearest railway stations to Prabhat Road.
