New Panvel, NaviMumbai

A node of Navi Mumbai, New Panvel is both a residential and a commercial locality, and is divided into two parts through the Mumbai Pune toll expressway. New Panvel West has seen organised development while the New Panvel East is on the verge of organised development. Developed and maintained by CIDCO, New Panvel is strategically located on the eastern side of the Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Being an important junction point, major highways like The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Sion-Panvel Expressway, NH 4B and NH 17 and NH 4 start and pass through the city, offering great road connectivity. The Bus services operated by ST and NMMT offer connectivity to nearby suburbs like Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Badlapur, Dadar and other parts of Navi Mumbai. Panvel is an important railway junction point located on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai suburban railway, from where local trains start and terminate. Panvel enjoys seamless local train connectivity to destinations like Mumbai CST, Wadala Road, Andheri and Thane throughout the day. A number of long distance trains connecting to places like Konkan, South and North India also stop at Panvel. An international airport is also proposed to be built in Panvel which has already boosted the property rates in the area and Panvel is expected to grow further upwards.
A number of educational institutions like DAV Public School, RYAN International School and Pillai’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce are located in the vicinity where quality education can be availed. Karnala fort, Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Bet El Synagogue and two of the eight Ashtavinayak temples are some of the places of tourist interests located close by. Some of the biggest developers of India are launching their showpiece projects in and around New Panvel. Witnessing constant development, New Panvel, along with navi Mumbai, is set to become a major education and IT hub, dotted with several universities and IT Parks.
