Nerul, a residential and commercial node of Navi Mumbai along with Seawoods-Darave, is the second most developed zone of Navi Mumbai after Vashi. Consisting of more than 50 sectors, Nerul is one of the biggest and most populous nodes of Navi Mumbai. One of the most developing localities of the satellite city, Nerul is witnessing a huge influx of population from South Mumbai and the Western Suburbs, and coupled with its development it is becoming more upmarket with the passage of time. Nerul enjoys great road connectivity as a major part of Palm Beach Road and the Sion-Panvel Highway passes through it. Located on the harbour line of the Mumbai suburban railway system, Nerul has seamless local train connectivity towards Mumbai CST and Thane throughout the day.
Governed by NMMC, roads in the township are generally of good quality while the water supply is also good throughout the year. Padmashree Dr D Y Patil Hospital, Terna Sahyadri Hospital and Sanjivani hospital are some of the hospitals in the locality. Eateries like Navratna Restaurant, Martins and Shanghi, Barbeque Nation, Domino’s and McDonalds are also present in Nerul which offer great food. A number of temples and mosques are also present in Nerul which makes it a suitable locality for people who are followers of various faith.
