Lohegaon, Pune

Overview
Lohegaon located in the eastern side of Pune is a fast developing area. It is primarily known for the Pune International Airport. This locality also has one of the oldest air base of India, known as two wing, after the Ambala Air Base. RPS Tower is one of the most famous landmark in this area. It is 156 kms from Mumbai and 13.6 km from Pune. Dhanori, Viman Nagar, Chandan Nagar, Kharadi, Charholi Budruk, Alandi, Wadgaon Shinde are its neighboring localities. The famous Diamond Water Park known for its water rides is a well-visited place by the locals here. The area also houses many renowned schools, engineering and management colleges. 

Connectivity
There is a road which connects Lohegaon and Wagholi, which in turn connects to the Ahmednagar highway. Roads from Vishrantwadi, Dhanori, Shinde Wadgaon and Wagholi meet at Lohegaon.

Lohegaon offers smooth connectivity through public transport. Local bus operators connect the area to neighbouring places through Lohegaon Road and Dhanori Road which further connects it to the Beed-Ahmednagar-Pune Road via Lohegaon-Wagholi Road.

It enjoys excellent connectivity to the Pune International Airport which is located at a distance of 4 km and Pune Airport which is around 3.5 kms from Lohegaon.

Hadapsar, Ghorpadi, Pune Junction, Shivaji Nagar, Khadki and Dapodi are its nearby railway stations. However, Pune Junction is the nearest railway station to Lohegaon, situated at a distance of 9.9 km.
