Overview

Karanjade is a small residential neighbourhood located in the south-eastern parts of Navi Mumbai. It is recently developed area mainly because of its proximity to upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. Smooth connectivity to Mumbai through the JNPT Road is another added advantage. It is one of the well planned locality surrounded by the JNPT Road on one side and Kalundre River on the other side. It has close proximity to important localities of Navi Mumbai such as Panvel, Usarli Khurd, Kalundre, Devad, Kolkhe Village, etc. It comes under CIDCO (Planning & Development Authority). Huge developments such as construction of a railway station, roads, upcoming international airport, many gardens and parks near the area have been proposed by CIDCO. Navi Mumbai is located at a distance of 16.9 km via Bengaluru-Mumbai Highway/Mumbai Highway while Mumbai is 37.9 km away.

Connectivity

The locality has an integrated system consisting of roads, railways and airways. NJPT Road, Uran Road, Takka Road, NH48, AH47 are some of the major roads passing through the locality of Karanjade.

At present, NMMT and MSRTC bus services are run from Panvel Railway Station to Sai Nagar and Karanjade.The nearest bus stop is S. T. Bus Stop (Panvel) located at a distance of 3.3 km.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located at a distance of 45 km from Karanjade via Bengaluru-Mumbai Highway/Mumbai Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway.

Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel Junction, and Chikhale are its nearby railway station. However, Panvel Junction is the nearest railway station to Karanjade located at a distance of 3.5 km via Uran Road.

Factors for growth in the future

Due to lower cost of operations, a large number of IT companies have been shifting to places like Vashi and Airoli in Navi Mumbai, will create job opportunities as well as rental demand in these localities.

The upcoming International Airport and proposed SEZs at Dronagiri, Ulwe, and Kalamboli are expected to further boost demand for commercial and residential developments in and around Navi Mumbai.

The locality has a good number of educational institutions like international schools, schools affiliated to all the different boards and colleges. Some of the schools present here are DAV Public School, First Step Pre-School, Little School Home, Huda English School, KES English Medium High School, Little Angels Eco School, Bams High School, Panvel among few.

The locality has a good retail market with malls, shopping plazas, shopping complexes, retail outlets, stationery shops, and grocery outlets. The shopping malls in the locality include K- Mall, Future Darshan CHS, Kamothe e Shopping Mart, Mahalaxmi Mall, Little World Mall, Glomax Mall, etc.

Healthcare facility is also good. The locality has super specialty, multi-specialty and general hospitals. Nikam Parmar Hospital, Panvel Hospital, Paramount Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, Lifeline Hospital, Panvel to name a few.
