Overview
Hebbal, situated in the north is an Assembly Constituency area in Bangalore, was once indicative of the north endpoint of the city. It is one of the Bangalore’s rapidly-growing region. The locality is famous for Hebbal Lake but now better known for the flyovers that interface the Outer Ring Road and Bellary Road. The Hebbal Park is well known for the park and the boating facilities. It is used to be the end of the corporation limits of Bangalore City. Mathikere, Sahakar Nagar, Thanisandra, Nagawara, Kalyan Nagar, RT Nagar, Malleshwaram, HBR Layout, Shampura, Sultanpalya, Hebbal Kempapura etc, are its neighboring localities. The area is well connected by BMTC buses. It also has a small railway station. All arterial roads and road networks leading to the BIAL intersect at Hebbal. Hebbal is located at a distance of 10 km from Bangalore City via Bellary Road. AH, 47 is passing through one end while NH 44 from other ends of the locality. Its strategic location and good connectivity attract corporates to Hebbal that further invites a large number of working population to this locality.
Connectivity
The locality is well connected to the other parts of the city via rail and roads. BMTC bus network connects the area to several other parts of the city. Cabs and Auto rickshaw are also easily available. Hebbal has its own bus terminal from where one can get the buses for Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kochi, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.
It has excellent connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport which is located at a distance of 27.4 km via Bellary Road, can be assessed in less than an hour.
AH7 passes through the locality which further connects Hebbal to NH 44 via Bellary Road.
Hebbal, Kodigehalli Halt, Yesvantpur Junction, Malleshwaram, Bangalore East, and Bangalore Cantt are its nearby railway station. However, Yesvantpur Junction railway station is the nearest railway station to 7 km via Bellary Road and CV Raman Road.
Proposed & Planned Infra
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has issued work orders for the construction of the Rs 80-crore flyover from Hebbal Lake to Baptist Hospital.
Widening of Hebbal Flyover. The project includes construction of an underpass (for vehicles) along the Outer Ring Road stretch from the Tumkur Road side to KR Puram side.
The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will shortly run 'Vayu Vajra' buses from three areas in the City. The proposed routes are ITPL to KIA via Budigere Cross, Shivaji Nagar/MG Road to KIA via Hennur Road, and Bannerghatta Road (Gottigere) to KIA.

The steel flyover on Airport Road will be extended beyond Hebbal and integrated with the Expressway Flyover commencing near Esteem Mall.
