Borivali West, located in the north of Mumbai is a pleasant green locality with well developed infrastructure. The locality is known for its green and has many gardens. This region is divided into Borivali East and Borivali West. Presence of Portuguese Churches, Mandapeshwar and Kanheri Caves proves the fact that the area has a rich history. The locality is surrounded by Dahisar East, Borivali East, Kandivali West, Charkop Gaon, Navagaon, and Gorai. The locality is well connected by road and rail. The Mumbai Airport is just 19 km from the area. Borivali railway station is the major railway station on the Western Line of Mumbai Southern Railway Network. In addition to this, the locality is well served by BEST buses, taxis and auto rickshaws. Western Expressway which passes through East Borivali is in close proximity to this area. Thane and Borivali are separated by a chain of hills, most of which are part of SGNP. Borivali West is well linked to all prominent commercial and business hubs in Mumbai through the Western Highways which runs near it. The SV Road and the western suburban railway network also connect it to various destinations in the city with ease.

Link Road, Devidas Road, and Lokmanya are three major road passing through the localities which further connect to Western Express Highway via Sudhir Phadke Flyover.

Dahisar (3 km) via Lokmanya Tilak Road, Borivali (3 km) via Swami Vivekanand Road, Kandivali and Malad are its nearby railway station. However, both Dahisar and Borivali are its nearest railway station located at a distance of 3 km each.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, located at a distance of 19 km via Western Express Highway, can be easily reached within an hour.

Soon, Mumbai residents will be able to travel between Borivali and Thane in 10 minutes owing to an 11-km underground tunnel passing through the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP). The six-lane tunnel will connect Tikuji-ni-Wadi in Thane and Ekta Nagar on the Western Express Highway in Borivali. Currently, the 23-km distance between Thane and Borivali via Ghodbunder Road that takes almost an hour or even more, if there is a traffic jam.
