Overview
Aundh is an affluent suburb areas in the north-west of Pune. It is today one of the best residential areas in Pune to live in. It is located very close to the industrial zones and IT Hubs of Pune. This locality was earlier known for its Chest Hospital. Now, in mid 1990s it has developed significantly as a residential area with proximity to Pune University and the Software Technology Parks Of India complex at Hinjewadi. It is one of the best residential areas in Pune like Koregaon Park can be termed as the best commercial area in Pune. The area is also a major hub for business as there are many companies, high end showrooms, high end health clubs and recreational outlets. Nearby Aundh localities include many famous areas of the city of Pune such as Baner, Pimple Nilakh, Pimple Gurav, Pimple Saudagar, Dasar, Balewadi, Wakad, Pashan, Shivaji Nagar, Khadki, Kasarwadi, Balewadi among others. A variety of projects are available in the area and range from affordable to luxurious.

Connectivity
It enjoys excellent connectivity to Pune International Airport which is located at a distance of 15.6 km via Airport Road and Vishrantwadi Airport Road.

There are a few major roads which run through the area, namely the Kalewadi Main Road, the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the Wakad Road, the Gopal Hari Deshmukh Marg, etc.

Aundh is surrounded by DP Road, Mahadji Shinde Road, ITI Road, Aundh Baner Link Road which further connects it to the Vidyapeeth Road and Baner-Aundh Road in the either side.

Shivaji Nagar Railway Station, Pune Junction, Khadki Railway Station, Dapodi Railway Station, Kasarwadi Railway Station and Pimpri Railway Station are the nearby railway stations to Baner. However, Khadki Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Baner.

Factors for future growth
The residential real-estate prices in this area have seen a huge uptrend which has been largely driven by the demand coming from IT professionals as well as migrants from various parts of the country.

Its proximity to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and connectivity to Shivajinagar which houses the railway and bus station, make it more preferable locality to reside compared to the other areas in Pune for its easy connectivity.

Located close to the University of Pune along with the major technology park like Software Technology Park Of India which has added a great deal of influence in the development of this area.

The civic amenities have also improved in Aundh. The industrial growth and the growth of the IT sector have also led to the development of retail and hospitality sectors in the area.
