Overview

Airoli is a developing micro market, located in the north-eastern parts of Navi Mumbai. It is a residential and commercial area of Navi Mumbai. Airoli is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and is administered by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Airoli is a railway station on the Harbour line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Thane East, Mumbra, Mulund East, Mulund West, Ghansoli, Kausa, Bhandup West, Naupada, Shilphata, Mahape, Kalwa, Kharegaon, and Kanjurmarg East are its neighbouring localities. Airoli is the first railway station 7.7 km away from Thane Railway Station on Thane via Airoli Knowledge Park Road/Mugalsan Road. It takes about 25 minutes to reach Thane from Airoli by train. Airoli is considered as the key node of the navi Mumbai is progressively developing from an industrial belt to a hub full with infrastructural projects. Nestled at the foothills of the Kharghar Mountain range, the CIDCO has also apprehended the Golf Course over an area of approx 103 hectares to attract a maximum of tourists. It has further developed the International Diplomatic Enclave for various countries to establish their consulates in Navi Mumbai, so as to provide trade, travel and visa facility to residents of MMR. It is situated little off from the main Navi Mumbai suburbs and is closer to Mulund and Thane. Some of the major sectors in Airoli are Sector 3 (because of the presence of railway station and bus stand), sector 7, and Sector 8 (commercial sectors).

Connectivity

It has easy access to Eastern Express Highway, JVLR and Palm Beach Road has established itself as one of the chief pillars of urban center growth. There are three major roads Mugalsan Road, Thane-Belapur Road, and MIDC Road passing through the locality which further connect Airoli to Mumbra Bypass Road via Pune-Mumbai Highway.

Nahur station of the central railways can also be easily accessed by the Airoli Bridge.

It has excellent connectivity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which is located at a driving distance of 20 km via Jogeshwari - Vikhroli Link Road, can be reached in an hour.

Thane, Kalwa, Airoli, Rabale, Ghansoli, and Mumbra are its nearby railway station. However, Airpoli is the nearest railway station which is located at a distance of 1.8 km via Thane-Belapur Road and Meenatai Thakre Marg.

Factors for future growth

Airoli is a good investment as well as end use destination as it is close to the job creation centres like the IT SEZ - Raheja Mindspace, MIDC Tech Park, Patni Knowledge Park and industrial belt of Ghansoli.

Ongoing property rates in this locality is much less than its busy neighboring localities like Mulund and Bhandup.

Providing excellent overall connectivity via the Mulund-Airoli bridge, Kalwa bridge, and the Thane-Belapur Highway, this locality has emerged as one of the best urban destinations to live and work in Navi Mumbai. Proposed Infra

A new station named “Dighe” will be coming up on Trans-Harbour-Thane- Vashi line. This station will be ready by 2019 end. It will prove to be a boon to thousands of residents from Digha Village and those around Thane-Belapur Road. This particular rail-link will help to ease the traffic on Thane Station and will provide a direct link between the Trans-Harbour Thane-Vashi Line and the CST-Kalyan main line.

Schools such as Euro School, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation School, New Horizon Public School and Penguin Kids, VPM’s International School, Little Millennium Airoli, Mindseed Preschool and Daycare are to name a few which providing quality education.
