The year is 1600 . A fleet of small sailing crafts called ‘Pangayas’ sets sail to enter the ever – expanding oceans of the country’s commerce. There were two things common among these vessels. One was that they were an enterprise launched by the Dempo family. The second, and this is the essence of their success story, was a marked professionalism in the venture.
