DDA Housing Scheme 2019 which was launched in March 2019 and whose last date for applications was extended to June 10, 2019. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is expecting that over 50,000 applicants have applied for its Housing Scheme 2019.
As per DDA’s Vice Chairman Tarun Kapoor, Since people have applied through various banks for this scheme, it was difficult to compile the data on the same day. But as per the application amount collected by these banks Rs.570 crore till last week, they are assuming to have received over 50,000 applications. So, there is no plan to further extending the DDA Housing Scheme deadline for the scheme. It is expecting that the final figure will come out by evening and can take about 2-3 days to compile the amount collected.
Around 1,800 DDA flats in Vasant Kunj and Narela are on offer under DDA Housing Scheme 2019. Out of 1,800 flats, 450 for high-income group (HIG), 1,550 are for middle-income group (MIG), and 8,300 are for low-income group (LIG) flats. Apart from that, 7,700 flats were offered under the economically weaker section (EWS) category. A majority of the applications are likely to come for the flats in Vasant Kunj.

At the same time, DDA has offered 2,000 flats under the older scheme which have been fully booked while around 1,000 flats are still available under the old scheme. These older inventories are still available and interested stakeholders can book them online. This offer is on a first come, first served basis and the online portal will be open till the inventory lasts.
In 2014, DDA had received 1 million applications for 25,000 DDA flats mostly in Low Income Group category in Narela and Rohini. But due to lack of basic infrastructure, poor connectivity to the housing complexes, and extremely small size of the LIG flats, close to 13,000 flats were returned.
